Swab in Aptima Kit-Multitest (Orange) OR Urine in Aptima Kit-Urine (Yellow) OR Cervial specimen in ThinPrep Ambient
Special Handling
Place swab in Aptima MultiTest Swab Specimen Transport Tube, break shaft at scoreline then recap tube. Transfer 2 mL urine within 24 hours to an Aptima Urine Specimen Transport Tube. Liquid level must be between fill lines on tube. (NOTE: Urine is stable for 24 hours refrigerated prior to transfer to Aptima tube)

Rejection Criteria
Vaginal specimens with no swab or two swabs in the Aptima MultiTest Swab Transport Tube. Specimens that are grossly bloody or dark brown specimens. Underfilled or overfilled Urine Aptima tranport tubes.

Ambient 30 days in Aptima tube, Refrigerated 30 days in Aptima tube, Frozen 60 days in Aptima tube
