Additional Information
Only the one hour post-dose is collected. The patient must remain in the laboratory for the duration of the test. Water is permitted during testing. Glucose Dose: 50 grams. One-hour glucose levels above 140 mg/dL following a 50 gram glucose challenge are considered "positive" screens, indicating the need for followup with a Gestational Glucose Tolerance Test to better evaluate the possibility of gestational diabetes
