Critical Frozen. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Transfer platelet-poor plasma to a standard transport tube. Freeze immediately, if possible. If received by the laboratory within 4 hours, ambient transport is acceptable.

Rejection Criteria

Serum. EDTA plasma, clotted or hemolyzed specimens.

Stability

Ambient: 4 hours; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 3 months
