Special Handling
Collection tubes should be FULL and SHOULD NOT have the stopper removed at any time. Do not freeze the tube. Multiple tubes must be submitted if other testing is ordered.
Rejection Criteria
Tubes that have been opened. Tubes that are not full. Heparinized plasma. Specimens drawn in Sodium Fluoride (Gray) tubes. These give erroneously low ICA measurements.
