Special Handling
Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 0.5 mL serum or plasma to a standard transport tube and freeze immediately. Avoid hemolysis.
Rejection Criteria
Room temperature specimens. Specimens that have been refrigerated for greater than 12 hours. Grossly hemolyzed specimens.
