Collect
EDTA Whole blood (Lavender) tube.
Submit
5 mLs (Min: 3 mL) EDTA Whole Blood, Ambient.
Special Handling
Collect specimen and mix tube throughly. Must include CBC with differential order or results on a specimen collected at the same time as the specimen for the lymphocyte testing.
Rejection Criteria
The specimen will be considered unacceptable if it is clotted, hemalyzed, centrifuged, received in the lab over 72 hours from collection or no CBC results performed on a specimen collected the same time as the specimen for the assay.
