Centrifuge the specimen at 1700xg for 15 minutes. Note: Hemolyzed specimens will be rejected. 5. Immediately remove the top 2/3 of the plasma and transfer to a clean tube using a plastic transfer pipette. 6. Immediately label the tube with the patient name, citrated plasma, and freeze the plasma. Specimens must remain frozen during transport to lab. Sent to reference lab (Nichols)
